Welcome to Gette's Costumes & Things!

Hello!

My name is Brigette or Gette for short (pronounced like "jet").

This is a little blog to promote creativity in myself and in others.

Mainly, I would like to display some of my crafts I have made, but most of these item haven't been for sale because I have given them as gifts. I believe this gallery will display my abilities in order to show other what they can commission me to do.

I love making costumes and accessories with my hands, and the summer is very VERY slow when it comes to being a techie, so let me know if there's anything I can do to make your life more magical with my creations.

For now, here are some tutus I have made:
This is my niece Lydia on her first birthday wearing a tutu I gave to her for her first Christmas. She is at the beach because she lives in Hawaii.

Dabney trying on the tutu I made for her.

This is Dabney and Aislin at Eeyore's birthday in Austin, Texas. Aislin is wearing a tutu her Uncle Naiman and I made together. Dabney is wearing her tutu, as well. Mother and child in tutu heaven!

This is a close up of my most recent tutu creation. It actually is for sale at: http://moeticgette.etsy.com I call it Sea Dream Tutu.

This is a fuller picture of the same tutu!

This is a tutu commissioned by my friend Nicole from Mississippi. I made this tutu specifically for this photo shoot, where she showed off her scars from falling 5 stories off of her New York apartment building's fire escape. You can support this lovely and talented lady and learn more about her story at http://www.youcantstopthisdancer.com
